Everyone is looking at the obvious thinner design, improved graphics, and greatly improved monitor output capability. What interest us the most is directly related to the future development of iTestGen, our test generator app. Apple has unveiled their new HDMI output adapter.

At this point, it will only be available in the iPad 2, but you can bet that Apple will incorporate the new capability into the iPhone 5, which is expected to be released around June 2011 if history of Apple release dates repeats itself.

To quote from Apple themselves,

“plug in the Digital AV Adapter (sold separately), and it works. Just like that. There are no settings to tinker with or configurations to figure out. And the adapter even works with audio. So it’s easy to focus on what you’re about to show the room. One end plugs into the 30-pin connector on iPad, the other end plugs into your HDMI cable. And the cable plugs into your HDTV, projector, or other HDMI-friendly screens you use. There’s also a second 30-pin connector to USB cable so you can charge your iPad. You’ll never have to worry about running out of power in the middle of your presentation or movie.”

This is great news for TekCraze and the future of iTestGen. We plan to aggressively pursue this new opportunity to develop a portable HDMI test generator. It remains to be seen just how the built-in mirroring capability of the new iOS release will interact with custom apps, but we remain hopeful that a unique and innovative iTestGen product can be developed to enhance capabilities of the iPhone platform.

Apple iPad 2 announced is a post from: TekCraze

TekCraze was started with the goal of providing tools for the average person to fully utilize the amazing capabilities of their smartphone in their everyday lives. The iPhone platform was chosen due to its overwhelming popularity. We always want to go where we can make the most difference and at this time, Apple has provided a platform that everyone talks about and many people use on a day to day basis.

Rather than trying to find app concepts that nobody else is doing, we look to find innovative ways the iPhone can assist in your everyday life. From that point, we investigate how we can improve on existing ideas or how to create something completely out of the box.

The idea for our first app (iTestGen) was a VGA test generator, something we needed on a day to day basis in the Audio Visual industry. Nobody else had developed anything that could satisfy this need, so we went to work and figured out how to make it viable.

We continue to be successful meeting a need and then letting people know about it. In this way, we have been able to get our apps into the hands of people who can use them. This simple philosophy allow us to be innovative and relevant in a sea of redundant products.
